Sandals Resorts has unveiled its newest Royal Plantation property, located in the Bahamas’ Exuma Cays. The property, which was converted to a Royal Plantation from an existing resort, currently has 14 rooms in six villas on the island in addition to a clubhouse, gym, pool, tennis court and a walking trail. According to Sandals Chief Executive Officer Adam Stewart, the company plans to expand the property to a maximum of 40 rooms, add a white glove service, seafood dining experience on the beach and build an overwater spa and three overwater rooms. In addition, laundry services have been increased from weekly to daily and guests will also soon have the option of requesting resort chefs come to their rooms and create personalized meals for them. “Right now, it’s still in the concept phase,” said Stewart. “We plan to talk more about it once we have a better idea of how exactly the master planning is going to turn out.” The property continues to attract much of its original repeat business.
