The eight-day “Canyon & Parks Adventure” includes Colorado River rafting and the Grand Canyon, from $1,525. The eight-day “Wild West Cowboys & Buffalos (Denver)” tour travels the Oregon Trail and includes the evening lighting at Mount Rushmore, from $1,465.
“Family Experience” tours also include the 11-day “Footprints of the Southwest,” itinerary, which combines visits to cities such as Albuquerque and Santa Fe with wonders such as the Grand Canyon, priced from $1,810 per person, double, land only. The seven-day “Canada’s Rockies” tour visits the most breathtaking parts of the Rockies and includes a gondola ride to the mountaintop Interpretive Center, from $1,435. The eight-day “An English Christmas,” tour focuses on London and includes day trips to Stratford-Upon-Avon and Stonehenge, from $935.
According to Trafalgar, families can save as much as 40 percent off the cost of the same vacation were they to plan it themselves. Additionally, Trafalgar’s “Young Traveler” tour offers parents or grandparents of children ages 5-17 a 10 percent discount on the land portion. Trafalgar can also arrange personalized tours for families using its buying power to negotiate prices. Another form of Trafalgar savings is the “Travel with Friends” program that applies to friends or families in groups of five or more.
